I was suppose to be on the 4.30pm flight to Miri on the 5th but was stranded in Kuching airport for 2 hours… It made me even more frustrated and felt like should I be on this flight? Is the 2 hours enough to fix the plane?

Anyway, we left Kuching at about 6.30pm. An hour later i was in Miri…. Met up with few of my old buddies and hang out till late.

Because I came back home bout nearly 4 am I decided not to sleep coz at 5.30 am I had to leave to the airport again to catch on my flight to Bakelalan. This was the 1st time as a young adult I sat in a twin otter and the feeling was exited and SCARY…. as the plane was so small and tiny. I had to band down to walk in the plane and it had sits like the ones use in a public bus.

As soon as we landed at Bakalalan airpot we were treated like a Super VIP… with their welcoming committee, Dance Group, Traditional Music Players, etc…..

Later the 1st day we were taken on a ride with their 4×4 expert driver. Went Village hopping. It was fun but because I had no hair on my head, it gave me a massive sun burn…

Later that day the villagers took us to the primary school to be with the Kids. (SKK Bakalalan). They too arrange some activities for us. A small tele match with the kids… It was so colorful and fun looking at them.

The next day till wednesday nothing much really happen. I hike up to the view point with on of the voleenter teacher for USA, name Blair Daly, and some kids. Walk around the villages. Owh ya, my flight was canceled on Monday due to bad weather. It was raining. In the end I used the Wednesday flight back to Miri, then back to Kuching the later that afternoon.

RM22 per bottle of Heineken. Unbelievable!!! Ridiculous!!!!!! I think the pool party in this picture is better…

Anyway, the worse part was when Adrian pushed Jing Jing in the pool when she still had her handbag around her. And my phone was in her handbag… Now… It looks like I need to get a new phone… HEY DUDE!!!…. you are DEAD!!!

Defining a remedy that was clearly the best
as the warm fluid coated our irritated throats
Mom’s cup of hot lemon tea
sang a silent lullaby for a good night’s rest.
This ritual could not be rushed
for the cup of hot lemon tea
would not permit that to be.

Cradled in her floral tapestry rocking chair
she savored the hot fluid in a fine, gold rim bone china teacup
often falling asleep engulfed in tranquility
like a butcher’s scale
balancing the cup on her lap
never once spilling a single drop.

Touching her gently
not to abruptly startle her
I whispered, “Mom wake up.”
Opening her eyes
smiling and resuming her metrical rocking
with a pacifying look
and a calm demure reply
she stated, “I wasn’t asleep, only resting my eyes.”

Picking up the same habit
whether my throat was irritated or not
slowly drifting to an enticing nap
tranquilized and unable to finish that nice hot brew
on my lap I balance a cup and saucer
hearing the whisper of a yet familiar voice saying
“Wake up before you burn yourself!”

How on earth we supposed to use this toilet?

Looking at this photo reminds me of what i’ve learned when I was in School… It was a poem…
