Chinese New Year 2009

Chinese New Year…. Well, I don’t celebrate it tho… But it’s fun to watch people celebrate it. Watching neighbors putting up fire works, watching kids playing with fire crackers.

I remember when I was a kid I used to around visiting with my parents and the only thing I remember doing was playing those cheap fire crackers and the next thing I expected to get was “ang pow” (red packet). J

But all is over now… all grown up. Can’t expect that to happen anymore. Who knows in years to come if I meet a Chinese gurl, I may end up giving ang pow’s to the little ones.

Anyway, this year Chinese new year was not as happening as last year for me as most of my chinese friends are not around Kuching anymore. Most of them have moved to Singapore and West Malaysia. So I only went visiting the 1st and 2nd day only.

The only fun I had was during the New Years Eve where I was shooting lots of photos of my neighbors putting up their fire works. But it did not turn out good enough for me. Maybe it was because I was not feeling well at that time… anyway, here are some of the picture’s I took.
